چکیده

Variation in practice regarding pretreatment with dual antiplatelet therapy for patients with non–ST elevation myocardial infarction. Background-—Despite guideline recommendations, a significant number of patients with non–ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) do not receive dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) before angiography " pretreatment. " While there may be valid clinical reasons to not pretreat, such as concern for bleeding or multivessel disease warranting coronary artery bypass graft surgery, the degree of variability and factors associated with DAPT pretreatment are unknown.

Study of the Duration, Outcomes, and Related Factors of Reperfusion Therapy in Patients with ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction

Background and Objective: One of the most important advancements regarding the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction is the administration of anti-coagulation medicines (e.g., streptokinase). However, it must be noticed that this medicine requires rapid and timely administration. Moreover, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is increasingly used as a method of revascularization...

Triple versus dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention.

BACKGROUND Whether triple antiplatelet therapy is superior or similar to dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention in the era of drug-eluting stents remains unclear. METHODS AND RESULTS A total of 4203 ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction patients who underwent primary percutaneous co...

Increased morning ADP-dependent platelet aggregation persists despite dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with first ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: Preliminary report.

BACKGROUND Numerous trials have reported on the morning increase in the occurrence of myocardial infarction, stroke and sudden cardiac death. Similarly, enhanced morning platelet aggregation has been observed in healthy individuals and in subjects with coronary artery disease without adequate antiplatelet treatment. The purpose of the study was to assess circadian variation in platelet aggregat...

The streptokinase therapy complications and its associated risk factors in patients with acute ST elevation myocardial infarction

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is one of the main leading causes of mortality and morbidity. Despite the progress in the treatment of AMI, streptokinase is still being used in many countries. Because of the critical condition of patients with AMI and complications of streptokinase therapy, this study was performed to evaluate the pattern of adverse drug reaction (ADRs) induced by streptokina...
